The drive from Salzburg to Filzmoos sleigh ride meeting point will takes about 90 mins. in a luxury minivan. On the way along the Salzach Valley we pass by the salt mine village Hallein and we already can see the Tennengeberge mountain range. A few minutes later we see the 11th century Hohenwerfen Castle at Werfen with its overpowering surrounded by Berchtesgadner Bavarian Alps and the Tennegebirge mountains.
After passing by some of the famous ski resorts finally we reach Filzmoos for our romantic winter wonderland adventure. The sleigh ride lasts about 3 hours 30 minutes including a lunch time break at a traditional mountain restaurant. You can cover your body in a thick warm blanket to protect you from the cold. So peaceful and absolutely away from daily rush of life, you can feel like time stopped still for a moment, you only hear the snort from well decorated horses. (Commonly horses used are Noriker, Haflinger, Friesian and Greys).
Then depending on the weather you will have some leisure time to explore the alpine ski village Filzmoos or find a cosy café where you can taste pastries and cakes with warming drinks.
For our return trip to Salzburg from Filzmoos we will take the best possible route to give you more Alpine scenery. This tour will leave you with such memories from the scenery and sensations!
