Enjoy Summit World 3000, have fun or stroll on the glacier, walk through a panorama tunnel to the other side of the mountain and enjoy a stunning view onto Austria’s highest peaks including Großglockner.

Driving via German valleys and the Bavarian countryside we first reach the alpine town of Zell am See, a world famous tourist destination as well as a climatic health resort since 1961.It is picturesquely situated between Lake Zellersee and the mountain Schmittenhöhe.
Just further on outside the little village of Kaprun you will take the lift system up the mountain, a succession of three lifts to reach the summit station, Gipfelwelt 3000, at 3029 m (9938 ft) directly above the glacier of Mount Kitzsteinhorn, covered with naturl snow throughout the year.

Stroll on the glacier, make a snow man or have a snowball fight.
Walk through the panorama tunnel lined with various information stations to the other side of the mountain. From the panorama terrace Glocknerkanzel you can have a breathtaking view onto Austria’s highest mountain Großglockner and many other snow capped peaks of the Alps, most of them not so far away.
Enjoy the fabulous scenery with a drink or a snack at the restaurant.
Watch a film show called “Kitzsteinhorn – The Nature”.
On the way back to Salzburg you will pass by famous ski regions Gasteinertal and St.Johann/Pongau, Werfen Castle Werfen “Hohenwerfen” (famous movie location, i.e. of Where Eagles Dare) and the mountains with the world’s largest Ice Caves.
